Composite objects are objects along a ocmpostion or aggregation hierarchy.This hierarchy may span in an aribitrary level.This paper describes mutli-level ocmpsote object representation in relational database management systems (RDBMS).Composite object representation comprises two main elements:Composite Object Structuing and OCmposite Object Instantiations.We formulate a composite index structure for ocmposite object structruingl.Using this index structure,composite objects can be presented in any format (e.g. nested relation) when they are instnatiated.Our analysis shows that the porpsoed index stucutre for ocmposite object representaiton in RDBEMS is more efficient than conventional method through direct queryign for retrieving ocmposite objects.
