Composition of UML design mdoels: a tool to support the resolution of conflicts

Desing mdoels are valuabel deliverable of th software devdlopemn process but have the portentil to e large and unwideldy.Sound software engineering practice guides us towards the break-up of design models into managemable ocmposnent.s.These smaller design moles,however,need to be considered together in order to get the "big picture" of the full design.In orde to integate a design moelmit must be posisble to merge that model iwith the remaineer to the design.there is considerable potential for ocnflict between the design mdoels being ocmposed.We introduce a tool that supports the resolution fo conflicts when ocmpoosing UML class modes.kan d the definitionof ocmpsition rules to mke the porcess as automated ad possible.
