THREE PILLARS OF THE VIRTUAL UNIVERSITY OF CZECH TELECOM

CZECH TELECOM, a.s. has established its own Virtual university (VUCT) after one year long project of implementation. To build a complex and powerful internal education system based on e-learning technology the company has to integrate its effort and money. The goals of VUCT are strictly connected with whole company goals and targets. Impact on the business results and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) is the main 'engine' that moves the VUCT forward. The abstract shows the three VUCT 'pillars' that has to be 'built' in project. These pillars allow us now to run VUCT in a standardized process and support key education projects in CZECH TELECOM. Internal customer's needs and requirements strictly define an on-line courses development process at our virtual universities. Flexibility, response time, wide enough delivery channels and low costs are the imperatives of VUCT to be able to survive. VUCT as the winner of the nation-wide competition 'Human Resource Excellence Award 2001' confirmed that defined targets are realizable.
