A 5-Phase Methodical Approach of Identifying, Selecting, Developing, Implementing, and Operating a Pressure Maintenance Scheme for an Offshore Field

This paper presents a systematic approach of identifying,rnselecting, developing, implementing, and operating a pressurernmaintenance scheme (PMS) for an offshore field. The paperrndiscusses the design scheme through a five-phase, wellrnorganized process. The design is accomplished through anrnintegrated approach involving geological, engineering,rnoperational, and environmental aspects.rnIn addition, the case history of a shallow water offshore Merenrnfield is presented and analyzed. It covers the selection processrnthat was used to determine the PMS, as well as the subsequentrnoperational and performance histories over the past 17 years.rnThe actual performance history is compared to the predictedrnperformance and the lessons learned are summarized.
