A 15 MW Subsea compressor station pilot has been produced, and will start operating 1Q2012. During pilot operation, a largernquantity of condition monitoring data is being logged (appr. 1 M values logged per second, resulting in appr. 200 TBytes ofrnlogged data per year). The intent with this massive data-logging is to be able to pinpoint the root cause of any problems orrndegradations occurring.rnThis paper describes the condition monitoring system, and initial operational experiences.rnThe system consists of sensors, subsea data collection units, topside data storage units and analyzing / visualization / reportingrnfunctions.rnThe paper discusses each of these parts in detail, and also discusses necessary tradeoffs and optimizations.rnOne problem encountered is that data are being generated in a multitude of formats, which need to be correlated and viewedrnsimultaneously on a higher level. The handling of correlation of multi-format data is discussed in detail.rnResults from initial operation are presented.rnFor the final subsea version, the logging requirements will be relaxed.rnA sketch of the final subsea version will be presented.
