The cost of corrosion and deposits in power plant systems has driven research to understand corrosionrnmechanisms and to establish cycle water chemistry schemes and guidelines to mitigate these problems. Thisrnpresentation provides guidance for the successful specification, installation and operation of on-line analyticalrninstrumentation used to achieve compliance with these guidelines. A multi-parameter approach to monitoring isrnpresented which will provide a single advanced platform for the most common parameters: specific and cationrnconductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen and ORP.
