The red phosphorus used most of the factories of our country is conventional red phosphorus preparation in liquid package, which is the mixture of red phosphorus and ethanol. With the development in 1980's, a lot of private small lamp factories emerged, these factories have to use the conventional red phosphorus, and have caused many problems during using. A. Red phosphorus and ethanol are combustible, so the purchase and transportation of them are strictly confined. B. The conventional red phosphorus preparation needs along produce period and yields very low, so it isn't a profitable product for manufacture. C. It's not wise for small factories to make red phosphorus preparation by themselves, considering not much red phosphorus needed. And it is difficult to make it themselves for lack of techniques. From 1998 the author began to develop red phosphorus powder in 220V 15w lamps, then made red phosphorus powder for gas-filling bi-coiled incandescent lamps. In 1999 the author made a breakthrough in controlling the etiolation of the ground glass bulb of the gas-filling lamps. The red phosphorus powder has some properties that the conventional one can't own.
