Improvement of Display Performance of High Transmittance Photo-Aligned Multi-domain Vertical Alignment LCDs Using Circular Polarizers

By optimizing the fabrication process, we have improved the response time and the viewing-angle characteristics of Photo-aligned Multi-domain Vertical Alignment (MVA-) LCD panels with circular polarizers, We succeed in demonstrating a high performance LCD panel which features fast response for displaying motion images and almost comparable viewing-angle characteristic to conventional MVA-LCDs.
