摘要

In this paper, the harmonic balance method and Wu elimination method have been combined in order to analyze the behavior of periodic response of rotor-bearing system with nonlinear supports. The merit of this method is that the analytical relation between Fourier coefficients of harmonic balance method can be obtained. Based on harmonic balance method, this method transforms nonlinear differential equations governing the dynamic behavior of rotor-bearing system into a set of nonlinear algebraic equations that can be reduced or calculated by the characteristic set of Wu elimination method. In the end, the analytic solution describing the behavior of the period response of a rotor-bearing system may be obtained. The stability of periodic response of system is readily determined by a direct using of Floquet's theory. The feasibility and advantage of the proposed method are illustrated with an elastic rotor-bearing system.
