COMPREHENSIVE CRITERIA OF IN-SERVICE FAILURE OF HIGH-STRESS THICK-WALL GFRP FISH-PLATE FOR RAILWAY INSULATING JOINTS: DEVELOPMENT AND USE IN ACCEPTANCE TESTS DURING MASS-PRODUCTION AND LOW-COST FABRICATION
The test objects are the ApATeCh GFRP fish-plates for railway insulating joints being highly-stressed heave-duty structural items of the track structure that are under mass production at the ApATeCh plants (about 450 per day) using most easily available and cheap materials. The principal in-service damage of fish-plates is the inter-layer delamination. The system of acceptance tests still in action now was based on the verification of the fishplate material main parameters. Table 1 presents the list of these parameters during various time periods.
