Rapid RCC Construction Technology of Longtan Hydropower Dam Project

摘要

Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) construction features continuity, high intensity and rapidness. It can also guarantee the bound quality between layers. This article describes the main features of RCC rapid construction in terms of pouring methods, mechanical equipment, management system, workmanship, construction optimization and continuous construction of compacted concrete under high temperature etc. Using the well-matched RCC construction technology and sound management system, RCC construction intensity is highly improved, and world record is created that daily RCC placement intensity for one block for the main works reaches 15, 816m3/d in Longtan hydropower project.
