An approval scheme for anti-corrosion coatings for water industry applications

This joint discussion paper outlines an approval protocol for polymeric anti-corrosion coatings for use in the water industry. The basis of the approval protocol is WIS 4-52-1:1992: Part 1, and covers thermoplastic and thermoset coatings excluding bituminous and enamel coatings. The assessment schedule will be in three parts: Part 1 being essentially a type approval, Part 2 being audit of factory applied coatings, and Part 3 being an audit of coating application by subcontractors.
