Comparative analysis of sedimentation processes within the black sea and eastern mediterranean

All cruises of Ukrainian recearch vessels usually begin in the BVlack and Mediterranean seas. Consequently the Branch of Geology of Oceans and Seas of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Axademy of Sciences, which is the oldest marine geology scientific centre of Ukraine, have a considerable data base and map routes in the Black and Mediterranean seas we have realized the comparative studying of sedimentation processes within the Black Sea and the Levantine Basin of Eastern Mediterranean. Certain results obtained are discussed in this paper. Geochemical aspects of sediment accumulation in the Black and Levantine seas were considered in detail in [1,2,3].
