Simulation Software For Sensor Array Time Series

摘要

This paper gives a brief overview of simulating sensor array time series of various array geometries. The simulation finds lot of applications in testing array-processing algorithms. It discusses the methods of generating broadband and narrow band directional sources in noisy environment. The sensor channel is modeled as a single input multi output FIR system with the coefficients obtained from the spatial correlation of the sensor channel. Actual sensor array environment will have spatially correlated noise field in addition to the directional sources. We also describe the methods for generating spatially correlated noise. The simulation of array time series is implemented using Labview software.
