Design And Fabrication Of Solar Paraboloid Concentrator Steam Generator

Conservation of Energy has become watchwords of countries worldwide. The consumption of energy has been increasing continuously. This has resulted in depletion of natural resources like coal, oil, gas, and pollution of water and air. Therefore there arises a need of source of power which is pollution free and abundantly available. So use of solar energy is considered to be economical and pollution free. Solar Thermal Power Plants will be one of best options of getting the power for mankind near future. Generally solar thermal power plants make use of double curvature type (paraboloidal) concentrator Therefore a parabolic solar concentrator steam generator was designed and fabricated. This paper deals with the design, fabrication & testing of such kind of steam generator. Such type of concentrator will prove boon to mankind with its wide applications in near future for power production.
