Producer Gas From Waste Wood Bio-MassTo Run Diesel Engine Pump Set For Agriculture Application

A 12m~3/hr batch type down draft gasifier from Associated Engineering Works, Tanuku (AP) has been used for generation of producer gas. The so produced gas is used in 5BHP compression ignition engine to drive mechanical power for irrigational application like pumping water for agriculture purpose. The performance parameters like brake thermal efficiency, specific energy consumption and exhaust gas temperature are analyzed for different % of energy supplied by gas. And also some combustion parameters are studied.
