Now a days large quantity of fly ash is produced in developed countries like India and its disposal itself is a problem. So keeping these problems in mind efforts have been made by different investigators to find out a solution for the useful disposal of fly ash in constructional work and environmental friendly. In the present study an attempt have been made by the authors for the efficient utilization of fly ash in the construction of concrete hollow blocks by replacing it with cement. Plain as well as cement replaced concrete hollow blocks of different ratio of replacements were made. The ratios made were 2.5/7.5, 5/10, 7.5/12.5, 10/15, 12.5/17.5, 15/20, 17.5/22.5, 20/25, 22.5/27.5, and 25/30 percent. It concluded from the percent study that after 28 days the compressive strength of plain and cement concrete hollow blocks was nearly same and there was maximum saving of cement in 15/20 replacement cement concrete hollow blocks. This has resulted a saving in the cost of the work.
