Thermo-Oxidative Stabilization of PAN Fibre/Felt-Surfact Treatment Study with Oxidants

摘要

The polymerisation process of Polyacrylonitrile fibres was studied by Thermo-oxidative stabilization. Surface treatment of the fibres before stabilization was carried out with different oxidants such as permanganate, ammonia, metal salts etc. The stabilisation was studied with respect to variables like rate of heating, medium, temperature of stabilization, weight loss and physico-mechanical properties.
