Chipping Away at the HD Radio System

The examination of the DRI200 reveals the first commercial implementation of HD Radio technology. Using an architecture with a programmable baseband core, capable of other signal processing tasks such as MP3, designers have a flexible platform to accommodate future data and audio enhancements. Already, several HD Radio Ready receivers use the technology described here in coming to market in 2003 and 2004.
