摘要

This study presents a finite-volume first order explicit method to solve 2Drntwo-layer shallow water equation s. Two-layer shallow flows in which thernsuperposed layers differ in velocity, density and rheology in a tworndimensional domain is intended to describe in this numerical model. Therncomputational approach is based on the HLL scheme, an approximaternRiemann solver for the purpose of computing a Godunov flux proposed byrnHarten, Lax and van Leer, treats the bottom slope by lateralizing thernmomentum flux, and refines the scheme using the Strang splitting tornmanage the frictional source term, So this study performed 2D two-layerrnshallow water computations on irregular beds. Then special cases for lowerrnlayer such as sediment transportation and mud layer are modeled. Thernanalytical results in this study will be valuable for further advanced researchrnand for designing or planning hydraulic engineering structures.
