Oxide powders, precipitated by reaction of transition metal salts precursors with molten alkali metal nitrates or nitrites, in the temperature range 400-500℃ are characterized by a very good chemical homogeneity and a purity satisfying for applications in heterogeneous catalysis and as starting material for ceramics. They are constituted of submicronic aggbmerates often including nano-sized crystallites.
