LEAN SIGMA - WHAT IS COMMON FOR LEAN MANUFACTURING AND SIX SIGMA

摘要

In this paper the significance of two most popular approaches for business improvement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma were emphasized. An attempt to answer the question concerning greater efficiency of the one of these strategies was made. The essence of Six Sigma strategy was characterised. The similarities and differences between Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma were shown. Moreover the fact that both approaches are complement to each other and that it results in greater possibility of achieving better results was underlined.
