摘要

With the availability of cost effective high performance computing on Network of Workstations (NoWs), it is possible to provide accurate and reliable solutions to complex problems of engineering industry through Adaptive FEA (AFEA). The paper presents superelement-based domain decomposition suited for parallel implementation. A computational framework is presented for nonlinear stress analysis. The paper emphasises the need for further developmental work for industrial application of AFEA on NoWs.
