Semi-analytical solution to a mechanical system with friction

This investigation is devoted to the development of a novel semi-analytical solution for a nonlinear dynamical system involving frictional interaction. A piecewise-constant procedure is employed in developing the solutions which are continuous everywhere in terms of displacement and velocity.
