This work shows the application of a rotating cylinder electrode (RCE) in the removal of Ni(II) content from an industrial effluent. The study was initially performed in model solution [Ni(II)]=1200 ppm = 0.02M. The model solution was prepared according to the physicochemical properties determined from rinse water from the electrolytic nickel process generated by a plastics chromium-plating industry. The operational conditions were determined from microelectrolysis (stainless steel 316L, RDE) characterization of this model solution.
