The Properties nad Industrial Applications of N-Acyl ED3A Chelating Surfactants

Ideal surfactants for industrial use are expected to exhibit low toxicity to mammals, aquatic species and microorgaisms, be stable under use conditions, exhibit high efficacy for the purpose employed, and to be compatible with other ingredients in the formulation. A recently developed class of surfactants, N-acyl ED3A chelating surfactants, meet these criteria for many applications and since they are multifunctional, acting as surfactants, chelates, hydrotropes and corrosion inhibitors, may provide preferred solutions to many applications problems.
