Secrecy effects of the Rayleigh-Hoyt and Hoyt-Rayleigh fading channels in ground-satellite communications

Satellite communication plays an important role in the smart city connection project. The Hoyt distribution is used to describe two types of fading in satellite signal transmissions. In this paper, the information-theoretic secrecy of the Rayleigh-Hoyt and Hoyt-Rayleigh fading channels is investigated. A set of exact formulas of the probability of strictly positive secrecy capacity are derived. Profile examples are illustrated to show the effects of secrecy capacity.
