摘要

The present paper summarizes the results of a research program involving the testing of push-out specimens and composite beams with the innovative puzzle-strip shear connectors in ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC). Push-Out tests were performed to investigate the load carrying behavior of the shear connectors. The beam tests are focused on the moment carrying capacity and the transition of the shear forces across the joint between steel and concrete.A new design model is proposed for the plastic design of composite beams with high strength steel and UHPC.
