A new developed motion control system was composed of a novelty position detection apparatus of DC motor, the digital control circuit based on complex programmable logic device (CPLD), the opto-coupler driver circuit and the feedback detection circuit. The design of this kind of motion control system has novelty thinking in the advantage of real time detection and control, reliability and simplicity, anti-interference and programmable digital logic on line. This design has been used on an automatic pruning machine with satisfactory results.
