In this paper, the linguistic multi-attribute group decision making problem is investigated with incomplete attribute weight information. A decision making method based on minimum deviation and 2-tuple linguistic information processing is proposed. Firstly, the deviation of attribute appraisal of alternatives given by decision making group is calculated. Secondly, a formula for solving attribute weights is established with completely unknown attribute weights, and a linear programming model based on the minimum deviation is established with incomplete attribute weight information in order to calculate attribute weights. The comprehensive appraisal value of each alternative is calculated by using the 2-tuples weighted average operator. Finally, an example is given to illustrate that this method is effective and practicable.
