Construction and Demolition Waste Reutilization and Industrial Development: A General Survey*

Construction and demolition(C&D) waste recycling and reutilization has become a hot issue of social concern. This paper introduces the foreign C&D waste recycling and industrial development situation, and discusses the factors affecting C&D waste recycling from policy, management, economy, technique and psychology. On this basis, it analyzes the present situation and the existed problems of domestic C&D waste recycling industry. It appears that the C&D waste recycling-related research and practice is still in exploration, and the development of the industry is still in the early stage. It is suggested that to continually improve the supporting policy and technical specifications, rationally plan the industrial layout, enhance the degree of specialization and strengthen R&D will promote the recycling of C&D waste and industrial development.
