Rising usage of Ear phones has been noticed these days, which focuses the user's concentration only on the songs or music that is being played. This does not pose any threat to people when used inside or within the house. But people now a day's use ear phones everywhere, especially while walking, riding a two wheeler. This becomes annoying when a person tries to contact them in public or shout to render awareness or help about any obstacle lying forward. While riding, this may also cause threat to the life of the person. The idea is to create a technology in mobile phones which helps the ear phone users to sense and respond to the above said situations. This is achieved by creating an alert to the user when there is an external voice call or horn sound within a range of a small distance. The horn sound or voice call is sensed using the sound sensors, noises are filtered and useful signal for creating the alert to the user is generated. This technology can be improvised in time to render help to the visually challenged. This can also help people with auditory problems in which the alerting technique will be modified to vibrations. Since the technology is applied in mobile phones it can also be added as inbuilt software for music players and music pods even as a hardware component in the headphones and earphones directly.
