The paper considers a new approach to designing a rotating magnetic field transformer (RMF transformer) which is a cycloconverter component. A mathematical description of such RMF transformer is given. A method of calculating transformer parameters for different numbers of primary and secondary coil phases is considered. To illustrate this, the paper provides calculations and an imitational model of a two-three-phase transformer. The design of a two-phase-three-phase transformer is presented. As the simulation results, the oscillograms current diagrams for primary and secondary coils of two-three-phase RMF Transformer are shown.
