This paper presents the design of 2*1 and 4*1 RFID-Reader microstrip array antenna for indoor localization. The antenna performances influence the object’s correct location in terms of gain, bandwidth, and radiation pattern. The proposed 2*1 and 4*1 array antennas are composed of two and four identical elements, respectively printed on Epoxy FR4 substrate. Two feeding techniques are used to transfer the electromagnetic energy into the array antennas, which are the microstrip line feed and the coaxial probe feed. CADFEKO performed the simulation results of these designed array antennas. A performance comparison between the two feeding techniques for the 2*1 and 4*1 array antennas was made based on the S11, VSWR, bandwidth, and gain.
