Extending Functionality of Control System by Adding Contour Building Capabilities

The article discusses issues related to the optimization of the development of control programs for processing blanks on CNC machines in terms of programming a complex contour, through the development of a contour builder. The formation of the trajectory of movement of the cutting tool in the form of sequential connection of elementary sections, which can be set in different ways, with a different set of parameters is considered. The tools of CNC systems allow you to create a contour by entering information on each of its elements according to a given drawing. The information entered is converted by the CNC system into a G-code describing the tool path.
