Attributed to its numerous remarkable benefits, conformal array antenna (CAA) is expected to be widely used in various fields. In this paper, we generate a snapshot data model of the cylindrical CAA formed by crossed dipole elements. On the basis of this, a joint two dimensional direction of arrival (2D DOA) and polarization estimation algorithm is proposed. Monte-Carlo simulation results show that the proposed data model and algorithm are competent to resolve the joint parameter estimation problem based on cylindrical CAA.
