摘要

This paper presents design and optimization methodology of a permanent magnet brushless DC motor (BLDC), with 25 W rated at 1,800 rpm, by Taguchi method to optimize efficiency and performance of electric fan motors. With optimization algorithm, we proposed the optimal structure of permanent magnet dimensions and stator tooth size. Due to the nonlinear characteristics of ferromagnetic materials, analysis and design are manipulated with finite element method (FEM). Finally, the proposed motor structure and simulation results are verified with conventional induction motors via FEM.
