摘要

A novel dual-band dual-pattern radiation patch antenna is proposed. The structure uses coplanar waveguide feed to realize the design of dual-band dual-pattern radiation. The surface current is analyzed by using the characteristic mode theory, two groups of symmetrical and equal length gaps are loaded in the middle of the patch, and two frequency points are excited to achieve two kinds of radiation pattern. The simulation results show that the design can generate resonance at two frequency points. At 5.16 GHz, TM02 mode is excited, with dual directional radiation, and the peak gain is 1.13 dBi; at 5.48 GHz, TM01 mode is excited, with directional radiation, and the peak gain is 2.81 dBi.
