This work investigates the influence of the main vector control strategies for torque control and their assessed phase current on electromagnetic saturation and their effects on torque, torque ripple, on-load back-emf, on-load cogging torque, reluctance torque, self and mutual inductance of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines. The Vector Control Strategies for torque control under investigation are the torque free ripple strategy based on Alpha-Beta, DQ axis control strategy and Extended DQ (also known as DQx) axis control strategy. All the simulations are carried out with the aid of FEM and Frozen Permeability Method in order to properly segregate each machine's parameter. Next, an analysis of each parameter is made accounting for their contribution in the electromagnetic torque. An impressive result is noticed as the direct and quadrature axis change whereas the electric load increases and the existence of reluctance torque even if d axis current is zero.
