The Anita Mox process at the Metro District was intended to be a robust and resilient process that could treat the varying centrate loads. The emphasis of the process is to remove as much of the nitrogen as possible using the least amount of energy and not adding additional chemicals e.g. supplemental alkalinity. Up to date system has performed well and is able to treat varying flows and loads.
