Combined with the experimental construction of Hunan 110kV Shizishan intelligent substation in State Grid Corporation of China, the whole construction framework for the substation is introduced. Further, the exploration and application of the secondary & auxiliary control system in realizing holographic perception, autonomous inspection, remote monitoring, active forewarning and intelligent decision is emphatically analyzed. Then, from an engineering perspective, the significance of in-plant joint commissioning between the secondary system and the auxiliary control system for the construction process of the intelligent substation and related tested items are elaborated. Finally, relevant suggestions on how to put new technologies of the secondary and auxiliary control system into practice are proposed.
