Less rocking and rolling than a mono hulled boat = greater crew comfort and greatly reduced risk of seasickness No need for "Stabilizers" which are an added cost to a mono hulled both for both initial purchase and drag while underway Also for yachts there is less " heeling" (an experience that scares novice sailors) when under sail.
