Dendritic cells (DC) were genetically engineered by a reverse transfection method with the complex of interleukin-12 plasmid DNA and the cationized dextran of a non-viral carrier. Intratumoral injection of DC genetically engineered to tumor-bearing mice suppressed the in vivo growth of tumor mass to a great extent compared with original DC.
