The renewal of interest in data warehousing and business intelligence was triggered by the need to use scanner data to analyze retail sales. Today, manufacturers are using sensors to track and control the supply chain. To close the loop between demand and supply, within and outside the enterprise, the speaker presents a solution architecture that uses sensors, virtual sensors and business intelligence systems.
