摘要

This paper presents a new method for meter placement in power system state estimation. It plays an important role in transmission security control. This paper focuses on meter placement to enhance topological observability that discusses the relationship between meter placement and network configurations. Mathematically, the problem results in complicated combinatorial optimization. That implies that it is hard to solve it in larger systems. To overcome the problem, this paper presents a tabu search-based method to solve the problem efficiently. As a meta-heuristic approach, tabu search is quite effective for solving the combinatorial problem. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated in the IEEE 57 and 118 node systems.
