RHEOLOGY AND MORPHOLOGY OF POLYMER BLENDS CONTAINING THERMOTROPIC LIQUID CRYSTALLINE POLYMERS

摘要

The aim of this paper is the presentation of a rather complete series of rheological data obtained on two systems, based on the same matrix ( a polyetherimide) and on two thermotropic liquid crystalline polymers ( a copolyester by Bayer and one by Hoechst-Celanese). The commercial and/or literature names of the polymers are Ultem 1000, K161 and Vectra B950 respectively.rnThe data have been obtained both with a cone-and-plate instrument and a capillary rheometer, at different temperatures.
