QUALITY MANAGEMENT AS A COMPETITIVE STRATEGYIN A DISTRIBUTED SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENTENVIRONMENT

This paper presents an exploratory case study on the SW-CMM (Capability Maturity Model for Software) Levelrn2 certification process by an offshore software development center, located in Brazil, belonging to DellrnComputer Corporation. The objective of this paper is present the main Lessons Learned in this research. Also,rnit presented the importance and the impact in the inter-organizational relationship. Finally, it is identified thernmain difficulties and critical factors of success in the implementation of the SW-CMM in a DSD environment.
