Catalytic wet air oxidation (CWAO) of the acrylonitrile production wastewater over Mn-Ce and Co-Bi complex oxide catalysts in a high pressure reactor has been investigated. The results show that the activity of the catalysts is intensely affected by the composition of Mn-Ce and Co-Bi. The Co-Bi catalyst has a high catalytic activity and non-metal cation leaching in the acidic wastewater. The appropriate operating condition is proposed as follows: the reaction temperature of 200 , the oxygen pressure ??of 1.8MPa, the oxidation time of 60 minutes.Under such conditions, the removal rate of COD is over 90%.
