Characterization and fractionation of DOM from two major wastewater plant in Changchun in cold season by resin adsorption method. Using three kinds resins ,DOM was fractionated into six fractions: hydrophobic neutral (HPON)、hydrophobic base (HPOB)、hydrophobic acid(HPOA)、hydrophilic base(HPIB)、hydrophilic acid(HPIA)、hydrophilic neutral(HPIN). Analyzing their organic carbon(DOC) mass and also study their characterization of Trihalomethane formation potential (THMFP). From study revealed that the organic carbon mass of hydrophobic matter were greater than hydrophilic matter .Because of that the THMFP of hydrophilic also lower in all samples.
