In this paper,the preparation of a new type of organic alternative fuels was studied.The cheaper palm oil and methanol were chosen as the main materials to replace parts diesel oil,and medium-chain fatty alcohol was used as the co-solvent to prepare W/O micro-emulsified fuels,contained methanol,palm oil and diesel oil.The solubilization effect of palm oil and medium-chain fatty alcohol,such as propanol,isopropanol,butanol,isobutanol and pentanol were investigated.The impact of the temperature on emulsion stability was also studied. CoCl2 test paper self-made was used to test the type of micro-emulsion.The corresponding experimental results indicated that the addition of palm oil resulted in the increasing of methanol and oil miscibility and isobutanol had the best efficiency of solubilization.Co-solvent and temperature played important roles in the stability of methanol/palm oil/diesel micro-emulsified fuel.As the temperature changed,the amount of co-solvent forming thermodynamic steady micro-emulsion was als°Changed.CoCl2 test paper test results showed that all of the micro-emulsion types were W/O.
